The Dark Knight: Applause, please

If you’re reading this, you might have already read other reviews. You might have even watched the movie by now. And thus, you no doubt will agree with me, and all the other countless reviews, that this was one hell of a movie.

If you did not mourn Heath Ledger’s passing before, you will now. We’ve seen his talents previously here and there, but here, in this magnum opus of superhero movies, he shone brighter than a supernova.

Batman and The Joker

If The Joker here wasn’t one of the scariest comic book villains (or any villain from any genre, for that matter) you ever saw, you don’t know nothin’, mistah.

If you haven’t watched this movie, you should. Worth every single copper cent of the ticket price. More, probably.

I want to write a longer review, but everything I want to say has already been said by countless reviewers out there.

The only thing left then, is for me to stand and applaud the collective creative genius of the team that put together this magnificent movie. Especially director Christopher Nolan, and of course, the late Heath Ledger.

Heath Ledger as The Joker

Verdict: 5.0

  1. Totally agree with you. What an awesome film. But I don’t think The Joker was scary. There’s really no adjective that can describe the acting for me. Heath Ledger was just…The Joker. He made him real. *clap clap clap*

  2. I haven’t caught it-couldn’t make reservations anywhere!
The reviews have all been ecstatically positive-i’m really looking forward to it this weekend.

public plea: if you’ve watched it, and wanna watch it again, pls pls wait till next week or the week after k 🙂 susah to get tickets la.

  3. The crowds and the difficulty of getting tickets for this show is a norm for all blockbuster movies. Always have to wait till it almost want to take down from screening only got chance to get a ticket… LOL!

  4. I thought it was brilliant man! easily the best movie this summer! Now im really dissapointed that heath ledger had to die for real!
