MV Doulos coming to town

That floating bookstore is coming to Port Klang, yo.

The Doulos was last on our shores in 2001, having since been to Europe, the Middle East, East Africa and other places. The ship will arrive in Port Klang next month.

It will be well worth spending a day browsing through the immense collection of books (with over 6,000 titles, there’s something for everyone) and participating in various on-board activities.

The Doulos will be at Port Klang from July 6-31 before heading to Pasir Gudang and Kuantan. The ship’s visit is hosted by the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) of Malaysia.

If you have a yen for books, and would like to know how it feels like to be on a ship (without worrying about icebergs or tidal waves), take a trip to Port Klang, why doncha?

  1. Your post regarding drugs was dated last year and so here are some thoughts of mine. You used the words clear, coherent thoughts and well-drafted arguments for this young man. Not all the people in the world can accept his behaviour shown in the photos. It is because of this nonacceptance that got the young man into trouble. If he only keep to food and parties, who would want to do anything to him ? Bloggers are many out there. Each with their own way of thinking. But it is the drugs that keep people coming back to his blog. Some curious. Some manipulative. Some caring.

  2. We visited the ship during its last visit in 2001. Today, we are going to pay a visit again. It is sort of down memory lane for us as during the last visit, my kids were still very young. We plan to go for seafood dinner in Tanjung Harapan, South Port Klang.

Those who doesn’t know the way to Tanjung Harapan, can visit my website for direction.

  3. I have a question. Is there any facilities for a wheel chair (paralysed) person to browse through the entire collection your brought in your ship? Please reply A.S.A.P. Thank you.
